After speaking with US President Donald Trump over the phone, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with security officials on Wednesday. According to Israeli media, Trump and Netanyahu spoke over the phone for around 40 minutes, covering everything from the battle in Gaza to the latest developments in the Iran nuclear deal.
When asked about his conversation with Netanyahu, Trump remained vague but maintained that it went well. “Excellent. Yes, it went really well, and we spoke about a number of stuff. It was really smooth. We’ll wait and see. We’re attempting to take action with Iran, a nation we just discussed,” Trump stated.
But according to Trump, the Iranians are “good negotiators,” so talks seem to be at a standstill. Additionally, he reiterated the possibility of a harsh US strategy towards Tehran.
They might be overly severe at times. The issue is that. Therefore, we are attempting to agree to prevent death and damage. We have informed them of this, and I hope that’s how things turn out. However, things might not turn out that way.
According to Israeli media, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, Defence Minister Israel Katz, and Shas party chairwoman Aryeh Deri are attending the security discussion with Netanyahu.
