The festival was founded in response to the growing popularity of Friday Night Lights, a networking event that offers the community a healthy, fun, and Evolution alcohol-free platform. On March 29, 2024, hundreds of runners attended its pilot event, which included a 7.5- and 5-knight run and post-run social at Battersea Park.
A spokesperson for RUN SOCIAL explained, “Going from a couple of us out for a run on London Bridge to hosting up to 500 people at purpose-built temporary events has been a steep learning curve.” To make this happen, it’s been essential for us to to pick partners who are happy to give time, answer our questions, and provide support.
Ashley Austin, Evolution Dome director, stated, “From weather changes to two-hour build and de-rig time slots, RUN SOCIAL has had to consider many factors when planning the FNL XL Festival Series.” Our inflatable dome is just one of several precautions the team has taken to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees. The event has been carefully planned, and I’m excited to see how it develops.
