During Ramadan, Dubai’s markets, shopping centres, eateries, bakeries, food warehouses, and other businesses are being inspected to guarantee food safety and public health. The Dubai Municipality body has stepped up field inspections and monitoring. The civic organisation is taking action to ensure that all restaurants and event spaces in the emirate adhere to the strictest safety regulations.

The inspections, which make sure that established health and food safety laws are followed, encompass not only markets and restaurants but also food establishments, hypermarkets, hotels, salons, beauty centres, cafes, gaming areas, and labour lodgings.

In addition to inspections, instructional workshops and awareness campaigns have been held with an emphasis on workplace safety protocols, food waste reduction, requirements for meat quality, and appropriate food preparation and storage techniques. Permits to hold outdoor activities and Ramadan tents have been granted to over 100 licensed establishments.

In order to facilitate the discharge of food shipments and ensure the safety and quality of high-consumption Ramadan items, the municipality has additionally reinforced food safety regulations at ports of entry.
