Some of the president’s close associates instantly began using the word but experts told the BBC it is unlikely to catch on widely in the business as a name used to refer to more advanced systems. It is part of a series of rebranding moves by Trump, who had the names of Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico altered on U.S. maps and official communications.
“In the future, all documents of the United States, and ideally, the world, will be corrected to reflect the more appropriate phrase ‘super’ vs ‘artificial’. So it’s called ‘super intelligence,’ ” Trump stated. Over the past week, Trump has urged his social media followers to vote on several possible new names for AI like superior intelligence, extreme intelligence and supreme intelligence.
