Putin “expressed several thoughts aimed at a swift diplomatic resolution of the Iran conflict” during his telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Monday, according to the Kremlin. These thoughts were informed by his interactions with the president of Iran, the leaders of the Gulf states, and leaders of other countries.
